The study looked at 14000 middle aged adults. Over the 7 years of follow up 223 men and 96 women developed heart disease. What all of these people had in common was low levels of magnesium. Foods rich in magnesium - nuts, green veg and whole grains. Magnesium has also been found to help prevent migraine, osteoporosis and high blood pressure.
