Organic Maca Powder

Maca is a Peruvian turnip like root which is dried and powdered before use. It is sometimes called Peruvian Ginseng, although Maca is completely unrelated to Ginseng root, it has similar adaptogenic properties  and thus the name.

Maca is high in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and essential amino acids. It is a source of bioavailable Calcium. Being an adaptogen so it “adapts” to your body’s needs of health and energy.

Maca is said to support male and female hormone balancing promoting health progesterone and estrogen levels in women.

Maca powder is easy to adapt into your daily routine, it tastes a little like horlicks and can be used in smoothies or sprinkled on cereals.  We use it in banana smoothies and it tastes great.
