Organic and Fair trade - does that make it more expensive, well it adds a little to the expense due to the fact that native workers are paid a decent wage, another thing that effects Acai price is the quality of your starting product and the method of processing. Our acai is either fresh frozen or dehydrated or freeze dried. It is a full fibre powder with full Omega oil content. It is more expensive to produce than other types of dried acai you will find in capsules. Cheaper methods of production will use maltodextrin spray dryeing which can burn acai as it dries leaving it less potent and with less oils. Your Acai should look dark purple, not grey, not white powder but purple.
