The No Nonsense FAQ About Threelacã
Is Threelac Safe? Threelac has been deemed safe and pure based on exacting tests performed by the American Food and Drugs Administration.
What is in Threelac? Threelac contains 3 types of lactic acid producing bacterial strains, (lactic acid sporogenes), therefore the names you will see; Threelac, Three-lac 3-lac or 3lLac.
Should I Still Be Taking Acidophilus? Threelac is compatible with other essential friendly Flora such as acidophilus and bifidus, but it does not replace them. If you think that your essential flora needs replenishing after anti-biotics then please add these. Please Note - Active Enzymes Formula also contains these essential probiotic bacteria.
How Many Billion Zillion Bacteria are in Threelac My Therapist tells me I need at Least X Billion The listing of numbers or organisms is not required with this particular probiotic product because of the microencapsulation process which allows 80-90% survivability of organisms passing through the stomach acids. Traditional manufacturers, before the new processing became available, put the billions on there to let you know they have put a lot in, even though the percentage that survived the transit through the stomach could be as little as 1 to 5%.
Why is Enteroccocus (Streptococuss) Faecalis in Threelac - Isn't that Toxic? First of all 'streptococcus' just means 'berry shaped' and the name is given to many strains of bacteria that are 'berry shaped'. There are toxic streptococcus bacillus and they get a lot of press. The strains used in Threelac are 'lactic acid' producing bacteria and produce a beneficial environment in the intestines - lactic acid in the intestines is said to act like a natural antibiotic.
I'm Lactose Intolerant Can I still Take Threelac? Lactic acid producing bacteria should not be confused with lactose which is a milk sugar which can cause intolerance in a small propertion of the population deficient in the enzyme lactase. Some studies have shown that Lactic Acid Producing bacteria can actually help break down dairy products into simple sugars.
Why Is There Yeast In Threelac? First of all not all yeasts inflame candida, some yeasts are living and some such as brewers yeast cannot referment after they have been used in fermentation. There is a small amount of yeast, a nutritional yeast, in the Threelac and it's job is act as a food source for the Threelac lactobacilli until they can get through the stomach acids and do their job. This amount of yeast won't enflame the candida simply because the numbers of Threelac organisms that survive the stomach acids are very high. So it won't inflame Candida but be careful if you have an allergy. Some people do have sensitivities to this yeast, or to the lemon flavored powder, and may not be able to take Threelac.
Why are there no Threelac testimonials on your site? Most of the testimonials regarding Threelac would have you believe that if you have a sachet of Threelac at breakfast your candida will be gone by lunchtime. This has not been our experience, nor has it been the experience from most of our customers, so we are not going to use that kind of miracle cure success story to entice you to buy.
Our Feedback has been as follows:
A.) A small proportion of people have had no success whatsoever with Threelac. Some when questioned did not follow our suggested protocol - we wouldn't expect anyone to get results without following the proper instructions.
Some might have had strains of candida that Threelac does not address - Although Threelac is the best candida management tool that we know of it does not address all strains.
B.) A larger proportion of customers have had success after a few weeks on Threelac, the effect has not been instant but they have noticed slow but sure progress.
Customers who have had Candida problems for over 10 years take longer as you would expect, some have taken up to 4 months to show improvement, and feedback from those who have had a long term candida problem have found it best to stay on some form of elimination diet.
C.) And last, there are your 'instant' success stories. People who felt better from day one and made quick and steady improvement. Our feedback has shown us that a surprisingly large percentage of people do notice benefits almost from day one, or from the first two weeks, and make fast and steady progress. We do not want to make a big thing of this as we do not want people to be disheartened if they don't see results straight away. We want them to take the full 2 months supply at our suggested protocol and to give it time to work and to investigate it honestly. We do not want customers to be conned into thinking if they take a lot of Threelac over a short period of time that they will get instant results.
What Studies Have Been Done on Threelac and Candida? To date we are aware that Global Health Trax are carrying out a study on Candida & Threelac - we are not aware of any published results.
We do not know of any studies done specifically on Threelac for Candida, most of the so called 'Threelac Candida Studies' that you will read about on the internet were not done on Candida at all.
The reports that are being paraded as candida studies are actually taken studies done on The Effect of Threelac on Hyperlipidemia. These studies were done by the Japanese Pharmaceutical Company who market Threelac in Japan and who exclusively supply it to Global Health Trax in the USA. The Hyperlipidemia (High Cholesterol) Studies showed that certain types of Lactic Acid Producing Bacteria were effective in reducing cholesterol levels. The strains that ended up in the Threelac formulation were the ones which performed best. One suggested mechanism for the success of lactic acid producing bacteria was theorised as such: Bile is used for the digestion of fat soluble nutrients. There is a feedback loop which tells the body how much bile to release into the system. This feedback loop is affected by fungal candida as candida converts cholesterol into a substance similar to bile - this tells the liver that there is no need for any more bile , the cholesterol is not used and therefore ends up in the bloodstream. It is thought that the lactic acid producing bacteria, by helping bring candida under control, brought the feedback loop back to normal working conditions, therefore the body was re-enabled to use dietary cholesterol therefore bring cholesterol counts under control.
Why is Threelac different from other candida supplements: Threelac was 'discovered' by a Japanese pharmaceutical company whilst carrying out trials on the effect of certain probiotic bacteria on hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol). The effect of probiotics on cholestrol levels in well documented and simple search for 'probiotic+cholestrol' should yield many results. The japanase trials showed that three types of lactic acid producing bacteria outperformed others tested and these wee incorporated into 3lac. An aggreement was entered into by Global Health Trax for distribution of the combination outside of Japan.
'The secret behind ThreeLac's effectiveness is the micro-encapsulation process that gets the live bacteria safely past the acidic environment in the stomach. These oxygen-friendly bacteria go to work "dining" on anaerobic problem organisms that your body does not need. An added benefit is that it helps to balance the body's pH.
When you using Threelac for a candida management strategy or general health reasons, use common sense and avoid processed sweets. Eat your sweets "raw" and enjoy a good diet rich in nutritious foods.
Suggested Use: If Threelac is taken to assist in an anti-candida program it is adviseable to reduce both refined and natural sugars for the first two weeks of use. This would include fruit juices and alcohol as well. Natural sugars can gradually be added back later on to see what can be tolerated without inflaming candida, after candida has been brought into management.
Take ThreeLac right before you eat a meal. Let the packet dissolve in your mouth and follow immediately with 4-6 ounces of water. Then eat. Food acts as a buffer to assist ThreeLac in reaching the small intestine.
Start on one sachet per day for 10 days, then move to 2 sachets per day for the next 2 months. . ** see useful tips below.
You may experience detox reactions or a worsening of symptons in the first week or so so drink plenty of water. When you are satisfied reduce to a maintenance amount of one packet per day to maintain body pH.

If you want to combine Threelac with a very basic and not too strict elimination diet then our advice is to: Eliminate refined sugar: cakes, sweets, jams, fizzy drinks.
Cut back on fruit juice for a couple of weeks.
Cut right back on Processed Foods: White Flour products, such as breads and pastas and white rice. use brown rice , buckwheat , millet as alternatives.
Simple Carbohydrates: Chips, crisps, crackers. If having potatos have them baked.
Drink plenty of water to help your body detoxify. Start the day with a cup of hot water and lemon juice (there is no need to eliminate lemon juice even though it is a fruit). Eat plenty of salads with raw salad vegetables such as celery, peppers etc to help detox and to help energy. Stock up on vegetables that inhibit the growth of Candida: raw garlic, onions, cabbage, broccoli, turnip, kale
Are their any Natural Food Based Alernatives? Their are natural alternatives which take longer to deal with your problem.
One of the main worries of Candida sufferers is that after a period of anti candida measures when their health and strength is returning is that somehow the balance will be upset and their problem will re-occur. To help prevent this we advise making sure you have a daily intake of probiotics.
We can offer you Kefir, which contains colony forming probiotic cultures which are far superior and hardier than those found in yoghurt. A starter kit will allow you to make around 42 liters or 80 days worth of Kefir for around £6.00.
Making your own feremented vegetables will ensure a healthy supply of probiotics which are not available in store bought products. Store bought sauerkraut is pasteurised and pasteurisation kills the beneficial probiotics. And dont worry about the word 'fermentation', most candida diet writers do not understand the different processes of fermentation and advise that you avoid all fermented products. This is just poor science. Avoid yeast fermented products. Natural fermented probiotic rich krauts are highly beneficial, being full of beneficial bacteria and vitamins.
Eat raw crushed garlic (2 cloves per day) go easy as the die off can be quite bad.
Get a great supply of daily minerals by adding a teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt and the juice of a lemon to 2 litres of water and drink throughout the day. Celtic Sea Salt has only about 80% sodium compared to 99% in processed salt. Celtic Sea Salt is also full of Minerals.
If you have trouble digesting proteins i.e you feel full or bloated after meat or chicken then we have a great and natural rich source of protein digestive enzymes that you can sprinkle on your food, just dont heat it, enzymes are destroyed by cooking. its called Green Papaya and you can buy it at http://www.harmonic-health.com/.
